Lucy Worsley says move is ‘long overdue’ and points to Stuart dynasty’s role in slavery

The chief curator of Historic Royal Palaces has launched a review of the residences’ historical links to the slave trade.

Lucy Worsley, a TV historian and the chief curator of the charity that looks after properties such as Kensington Palace, the Tower of London and Hampton Court, told the Times an investigation into the royal palaces’ slavery links was “long overdue” and the charity had a duty to make any connections public.
