Kirsty Young to take break from Desert Island Discs due to illness

Lauren Laverne will cover BBC Radio 4 show while longtime host away due to fibromyalgia

Kirsty Young is to take a break from presenting the BBC Radio 4 programme Desert Island Discs for “a number of months” because she is has a form of fibromyalgia.

Lauren Laverne will host the show while Young is away, the BBC said.
